About this role
As a Business Coach, you will work directly with aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners to help them build strong business foundations. You’ll provide one-on-one coaching, assist the Navigate Director with group trainings and offer practical tools and insights to support their journey from idea to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Guide clients through the development of business plans and financial projections.
Provide coaching on credit-building and microloan readiness, including loan packaging guidance for the application process.
Teach clients how to conduct effective market research to understand business opportunities and trends.
Assist Navigate Director with financial literacy to help clients with basic business financials.
Offer both verbal and written feedback on client materials and maintain the required documentation for JFCS grant funding requirements.
Collaborate with the Navigate Director to track client progress and outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience in business, entrepreneurship, education, or financial coaching.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients or sessions.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with diverse communities or underserved entrepreneurs.
Familiarity with microlending is a plus.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background check.
