Job Summary
The Chemical Injection Field Service Technician is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and high-quality field service support to customers. This role performs installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of chemical injection equipment while maintaining strong customer relationships and adhering to strict safety, quality, and operational standards. The technician works independently or under general supervision and supports service delivery, logistics, and occasional sales-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Attend and participate in daily operational meetings
Perform moderately complex installations, routine maintenance, and repairs of chemical injection pumps and related accessories
Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment
Inspect materials, components, and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards
Read and follow work instructions, work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions
Accurately process and submit service tickets and customer service documentation
Provide accurate information regarding product availability and basic technical support
Respond to customer inquiries and refer advanced sales or service requests to appropriate representatives
Drive company vehicles to customer locations and make deliveries as required
Obtain required delivery documentation and customer signatures
Support field sales activities when needed
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
Communicate effectively with customers, including delivery of both positive and challenging information
Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Work flexible or unconventional hours, including occasional weekends, as needed
Attend work regularly and reliably
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Vocational or technical training, certification, or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of experience in assembly, installation, or repair of chemical injection pumps or similar equipment
Experience performing moderately complex installations independently
Strong customer service experience, including explaining procedures and training customers
Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices and proper use of hand and power tools
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to meet applicable physical and medical requirements
Proficiency with basic computer applications, including email and spreadsheets
High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to travel frequently and work independently
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
Fluency in spoken and written English
Consistent and punctual attendance
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced vocational or technical training or certification
Extensive experience with oil and gas field installation of chemical injection systems or similar equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to train others and provide advanced technical support
