Description
Warm Valley is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to serve as the organization’s senior clinical leader. This is an on-site role reporting to the CEO and structured to be approximately 50 percent clinical leadership and 50 percent direct patient care. This is a backfill position with established systems in place.
The CMO provides overall clinical oversight, supports and mentors provider teams, leads quality and patient safety efforts, and partners closely with executive leadership. The role emphasizes continuity of care, provider support, and long-term system sustainability in a rural, tribal health setting.
This position offers the opportunity to practice medicine while shaping clinical systems in a single-site clinic serving a defined community, allowing for strong provider relationships, continuity, and local decision-making. Warm Valley Health Care is a tribally operated 638 health system serving approximately 11,000 community members through a single clinic in Fort Washakie, Wyoming, with close commute possible from nearby Lander, Wyoming.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certified/eligible
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a physician from a state, the District of Columbia, or a territory of the United States
- Active DEA License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification
- Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME)
- Eligible for and able to maintain WVHC credentialing and privileging
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical or healthcare administration preferred
