The New Jersey Department of Health is seeking talented psychiatrists for its psychiatric hospital system. Founded in 1848, NJ’s psychiatric hospital system has a long history of cutting-edge medical care meeting the needs of the most at risk NJ residents. The health system consists of four hospitals located in northern NJ in the suburbs of New York City, in Central NJ along the picturesque Delaware River and in southern NJ in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Our southern NJ campus is convenient to the beaches of the NJ shore.
This position is for a full-time position in adult psychiatry. The successful candidate should demonstrate experience with inpatient care, an interest in interprofessional care and teaching medical students and residents.
Responsibilities include managing an inpatient unit, teaching responsibilities and leading innovation with their treatment team.

There are academic and research opportunities as a part of the Department of Health’s partnerships with NJ’s world class academic institutions.
Applicants must have an MD or DO degree, be able to obtain or currently have a valid NJ Medical license, CDS and DEA and be AOBNP/ABPN Board Eligible/Board Certified.

Clinical Psychiatrist Salary: $300,664.87 annually
