This position is responsible for the successful operation of Splash Aquatic Park concessions.
Responsible for inventory control, ordering and storage of items necessary for efficient concession operations. Minimizes opportunities for waste of product.
Responsible for cleanliness of food and beverage facility, inside and adjacent outside areas, including specified eating areas.
Keeps abreast of all issues related to security and safety, including knowledge of local health and sanitation requirements, rules and regulations.
Responsible for ensuring preparation of all menu items at highest possible quality.
Responsible for assessing service issues including line speed and proper staffing to address any and all volume levels.
Ensures customer service is perceived by park users as courteous and efficient.
Ensures that all food and beverage staff is in compliance with established rules, regulations and policies.
Responsible for supervision of concessions staff including scheduling, safety, appearance, new employee orientation and initial training.
Monitors food and beverage budget on daily, weekly and monthly schedules via established set of systems and procedures for tracking sales, cost and profit revenues.
Maintains strict cash control and accounting for daily cash register transactions. Reports daily and weekly numbers and personnel issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
Fosters a work environment characterized by open communications, interaction and the sharing of information pertinent to the success of the food and beverage operation.
Runs errands as necessary for completion of job duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises part-time concession employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: assists with interviewing, selection and training of employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Minimum two years (2) prior food service operation experience required. Must have working knowledge of cooking and commercial kitchen operations including inventory management. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess outstanding customer service skills and ability to deal with diverse age groups. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Working knowledge and understanding of public relation skills and techniques.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to work independently and use judgment when making decisions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public and other agencies.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to prepare and interpret annual budget information, daily cash transactions, etc.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving skills; to enforce safety practices and procedures to handle emergency and non-emergency situations; and to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to apply common sense and to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to plan, assign, instruct, supervise, effectively schedule, and direct the work of subordinate personnel engaged in carrying out the functions of assigned section. Proven ability to multi-task. Ability to understand and manage assigned budget.

The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Primarily indoor environment. Exposure to cooking grills. While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in this work environment is moderate to loud.
