Consult Liaison Psychiatrist
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full-time board-certified Consultation/Liaison Psychiatrist. This position is within the Department of Psychiatry and may be filled at the level of Division Director or Attending Psychiatrist.
The selected candidate will collaborate with medical, surgical and obstetric teams to provide psychiatric care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions that cannot be managed on inpatient psychiatry units. A strong commitment to teaching and supervision is required, as all adult psychiatry residents rotate through this service. Additional opportunities are available to participate in and support the Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
Candidates must have MD/DO degree, completed a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and be board certified in Psychiatry with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. We also offer a collegial environment and competitive salary to include a sign in bonus along with full benefits. Compensation ranges from $261,000 to $303,000. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary leadership team working with a diverse patient population in a major clinical and training institution.
