POSITION SUMMARY: Enable the PEAK team to make data informed decisions to best serve youth, families, and the community through capturing and compiling critical information throughout the summer.
POSITION AVAILABILITY: This position is 20 - 25 hours per week and must be available June 8 - August 21, hours can be completed in a flexible schedule.
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
Enter participation notes, incident reports and other information into the PEAK database.
Compile participant satisfaction surveys.
Assist in data entry of camper and caregiver demographic information.
Assist with evaluation of camp participants as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is compensated at a rate of $16.25, pre-tax.
Summer seasonal staff are paid on a bi-weekly basis and are classified as exempt, seasonal employees.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Belief that with the right support and access to quality programs and experiences that all young people are able to achieve at the highest level imaginable.
Experience with client management databases and Google Suite.
Ability to receive constructive feedback and coaching from supervisor and make necessary adjustments
Commitment to being punctual and adhering to a schedule provided by camp leadership.
Possess strong communications skills and apply them with coworkers and supervisors, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive staff and camper information when necessary.
Attention to detail is a must!
EDUCATIONAL, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 and/or have a high school diploma/GED before the position start date to apply.
REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS
The Data Support Specialist reports to the Director of Impact and Engagement.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The mental and physical requirements and work environment conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
All PEAK Initiative properties, including Lake Valley Camp and the Milwaukee Program Center, are substance-free environments. Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption, and the use of illicit drugs are strictly prohibited on all property regardless of whether or not staff are on break.
Must be comfortable working in a city park as a significant portion of time will be spent at the PEAK Program Center in Tiefenthaler Park.
