Job Summary

All States Materials Group is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Emulsion Distributor Operator to support our paving and road maintenance operations. This position is responsible for operating an emulsion distributor truck to apply asphalt emulsion materials for paving, chip sealing, and road preservation projects. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL Class B license, demonstrate attention to detail, and work effectively with paving crews to ensure high-quality, safe roadway applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safely operate an emulsion distributor truck in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
2. Apply asphalt emulsion materials accurately and evenly according to job specifications
3. Coordinate closely with road maintenance crews
4. Monitor spray rates, temperatures, pressures, and application patterns
5. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck, spray bars, pumps, and related equipment
6. Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of distributor equipment
7. Ensure proper handling, storage, and transport of asphalt emulsion materials
8. Maintain accurate job tickets, production logs, and required documentation
9. Follow all site-specific, environmental, and safety procedures
10. Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition
11. Assist with additional job site support duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Valid CDL Class B license (required)
2. Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT physical and drug testing requirements
3. Previous experience operating an emulsion distributor or similar equipment preferred
4. Knowledge of asphalt emulsion road preservation processes a plus
5. Strong understanding of job site safety standards and traffic control practices
6. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
7. Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical job duties as required
8. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, talk, see and listen. The employee must be able to push levers forward and backwards. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, twist, kneel and crouch. Employee may sit for an hour or more at a time.

• Ability to climb in and out of truck without assistance.

• Exposure to extreme temperatures both hot and cold.

• Exposure to sound or noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.

• Exposure to contaminants such as diesel fuel or exhaust.

• Operate equipment, such as CB radios, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with dispatcher, branch manager, or other drivers.
