Job Description
The Head of Strategy for AMD and SRC is responsible for leading the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies, ensuring alignment of resources, technology, and processes with organizational goals. The role acts as a subject-matter expert and thought leader, driving cross-functional collaboration and serving as a key liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to translate strategic insights into actionable business and operating plans. It supports the Ambulatory Diagnostic and Monitoring business unit and plays a central role in Connected Care-wide strategic initiatives, including Blue Thread (AMD) and Golden Thread (HPM + AMD), to maximize enterprise value. The role also leads strategic analysis and research, reviews business cases and plans, supports KPI development and tracking, evaluates market and competitive dynamics, and builds strong internal and external stakeholder networks to drive sustainable growth.
Your role:
- Leads the development of strategies and policies for AMD and Connected Care initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and long-term value creation.
- Acts as a subject-matter expert and strategic advisor on resource allocation, technology adoption, and business process alignment.
- Drives cross-functional collaboration and serves as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to translate strategy into execution.
- Supports the development and standardization of KPIs, leveraging analytics to monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and refine strategies.
- Leads market, competitive, and industry analysis to inform business unit and corporate-level strategic decisions.
- Reviews business cases, strategic proposals, business plans, and due diligence using data-driven insights.
- Presents clear, actionable strategic recommendations, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Builds and maintains strong internal and external stakeholder networks, using influence and negotiation to address complex, cross-functional matters.
- Manages and develops strategy team members, including designing training programs to strengthen strategic thinking, market analysis, and decision-making capabilities.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Growth Strategy, International Business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 15 years of work experience, with latest roles in a strategy leader position.
- Proven experience operating med tech with functional or P&L execution.
- Experience leading a team.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization (preferably medtech).
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
This is an office based role, based in Cambridge MA.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position in MA is $218,400 to $349,440
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
