Description
The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources Director by ensuring smooth operations across employee management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Assistant serves as a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance and assistance while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business preferred).
1–2 years of experience in HR support, payroll, or administrative roles.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with HRIS platforms
Familiarity with E-Verify and background screening platforms.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
Efficient with scanning and other office equipment
Knowledge Areas
Payroll & Timekeeping
Basic knowledge of benefits administration (medical insurance, 401(k)).
Compliance awareness (DOT, Workers’ Compensation, I-9, E-Verify).
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Demonstrate initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with payroll systems and timecard processing.
Previous involvement in employee engagement and/or HR projects.
Excellent Soft Skills
