Inpatient Psychiatrist
Faculty Position Announcement
The Department of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) in Boston, an academic teaching hospital and affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is seeking a full-time, inpatient psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will be based within the BWFH 2 South Inpatient Unit and will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients admitted to the inpatient psychiatry unit as the clinical leader of a multidisciplinary treatment team with a caseload of 6-10 patients. The department provides care to a diverse population of patients with high medical co-presentations and is a major teaching site for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/ Harvard Medical School Psychology Internship Training Program and Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
We seek an expert clinician who possesses outstanding clinical and education skills. Preference for candidates with expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. Responsibilities will include inpatient clinical care, team management and teaching/training/supervision.
Applicants must be American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology eligible or certified and be licensed in Massachusetts (or license eligible). Academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
