St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist with interest or experience in Addiction Medicine for an adult inpatient role. Samaritan Hospital, located in Troy, NY, offers a comprehensive behavioral health program featuring 63 inpatient beds across three specialized units: Mental Health, MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted), and Gero-Psychiatry. Our interdisciplinary team provides compassionate, patient-centered care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs.
Position Highlights
Provide inpatient coverage for adult patients at the Samaritan Hospital campus
Collaborate with Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers
Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends
Access to a diverse patient population and interdisciplinary care model
Join a dedicated team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers
Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
DEA licensure and NY State license required
Experience in an inpatient setting preferred
Experience in addiction medicine preferred
Excellent clinical and communication skills
Strong commitment to team-oriented, patient-focused care
New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Recruitment Package: St. Peter’s Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:
Competitive base salary including starting bonus;
Compensation is between $310,000 and $350,000
The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
