Partnered with an established hospital in western Michigan that has an opportunity for a Psychiatrist to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Overview:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
• Call Requirement: 5p-8a
• Setting: 27-bed inpatient
• Patient Volume: 12 per day
• Cases: Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, affective disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
• Support Staff: 5 MDs, 6 APPs
• Will supervise PMHNP
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, walk along sandy beaches with towering dunes, explore an art museum featuring regional and contemporary exhibits, and hike trails through nearby parks.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Psychiatrist Michigan state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Psychiatrist program
• One year of work experience as Psychiatrist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
