GENERAL SUMMARY
Munsch Hardt is seeking an experienced, full-time Marketing Events Specialist who will enjoy a highly visible position in its Dallas office, while assisting on firm-wide marketing initiatives for attorneys in all three offices – Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, as well as the Director of Business Development + Marketing and the Chief Business Development + Marketing Officer, the Marketing Events Specialist will provide tactical support in the execution of a myriad of initiatives, including planning, execution, and evaluation of Firm-hosted events, sponsorships, and client engagement programs across multiple offices. This role works closely with attorneys and internal teams to design high-impact events that align with the Firm’s marketing strategy, deepen client relationships, and reinforce brand visibility. The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, be very detail-oriented, and possess a comprehensive understanding of strategic marketing goals and objectives. Requirements include a 4-year degree and 5+ years of experience in a professional services marketing department.
- Event Management – Plan and execute client-facing and sponsorship events, including CLE programs, Firm-hosted conferences, client retention events, business development events, social events, and sponsorship events.
- Sporting Tickets – Manage the allocation and use of Firm tickets to local events and help secure tickets for one-off client requests. Assist attorneys in planning client events for sporting games.
- Vendor Communication + Tracking – Quickly and efficiently coordinate with external vendors to source and book venues on tight timelines, often across multiple cities.
- Promotional Materials – Track inventory of the Firm’s branded items and online store; place new orders as necessary for upcoming events.
- Proofreading – Review and edit internal and external materials to ensure grammatical accuracy and consistency.
- Sponsorships +Memberships – Help track and evaluate sponsorship opportunities throughout the year, collaborate with attorneys and external contacts to fulfill sponsorship obligations, and manage the Firm’s local and industry-focused memberships. Plan coordinating sponsor events.
- Survey + Award Submissions – Work with various departments in the Firm to collect information and draft annual surveys and award submissions for individual attorneys, practices, and offices.
- Social Media +Website – Assist with posting for events and making website updates on a regular basis, which includes updating attorney bios with new awards and rankings; posting on social media about press releases, media coverage, and articles; and keeping the “Events” calendar up-to-date.

- Software/Technical Skills – Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus.
- Supervision – This position will have a certain level of autonomy, so candidates should have experience completing projects with minimal supervision, the ability to multitask efficiently, and possess extraordinary attention to detail.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality/Events, or other related degrees.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a professional services, law firm, or media environment.
- The candidate must be able to live and work in Dallas (no relocation offered and no remote candidates, please).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities.
- “Yes” attitude when it comes to events and capabilities of the Marketing department.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is a plus.
