Description
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations Coordinator oversees building and office operations for the food pantry, provides administrative support across all departments, and coordinates, schedules, and supports individual and group volunteers.
We are a non-profit, faith-based ministry providing food to families in need in Edmond and surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide food and connect neighbors to resources through the love of Christ.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful atmosphere for clients and volunteers.
Keep a clean, organized, and safe working environment optimizing space utilization daily.
Order food from the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and local grocery stores based on pantry needs, inventory levels, and distribution schedules.
Oversee the retail recovery program, including scheduling pick-ups and receiving donations from local grocery and retail partners.
Maintain records of incoming food, including weighing retail recovery products and other donations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with local grocery store managers.
Screen, onboard, and orient volunteers to ensure they are prepared, informed, and aligned with Project 66’s mission and values.
Ensure the facility and equipment are properly maintained, including routine cleaning, organization, and coordination of basic building and lawn care needs.
Manage daily volunteer scheduling using the organization’s online scheduling software, ensuring adequate volunteer coverage for warehouse operations and pantry service hours.
Collaborate with service staff, warehouse staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth and efficient client shopping times.
Respond promptly and professionally to volunteer inquiries via email and phone.
Schedule and host group volunteer experiences by preparing tasks and providing on-site instruction to create a positive, mission-centered volunteer experience.
Additional Job Requirements
Must hold a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation (some local travel required).
Must be willing and able to drive Project 66 box truck (CDL not required).
Clearance of background investigation and drug screening.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Prior experience in nonprofit operations, retail, or volunteer management is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
There may be extended periods of standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but may be higher when operating equipment. Must be able to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, individually or with assistance. COMPENSATION:
Salary starting at $40,000, commensurate with experience.
