Description

We are seeking a part-time, semi-retired dentist to join our Dental Sleep and TMJ practice. Candidates must be willing to learn both fields and ideally have prior experience. We are willing to provide training for the appropriate candidate. This position requires availability for 1-2 days per week and the flexibility to travel between our Monterey and Scotts Valley locations. Additionally, you may have the ability to work at our main office in San Jose. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume to sshah@sparksleep.com.

Requirements

Travel between Monterey and Scotts Valley. Open to come to Los Gatos and San Jose is optional. 

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Active California dental license in good standing
• Experience or strong interest in treating patients with sleep-disordered breathing, TMJ disorders, and related conditions
• Familiarity with oral appliance therapy, TMJ evaluation, and patient management (training may be provided)
• Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to travel regularly between Monterey and Scotts Valley practice locations
• Commitment to part-time schedule (days/times to be arranged)
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Comfortable with technology, documenting in a computer-based medical record system assisted by clinical staff.
