Virginia Green is seeking an experienced Recruiting Manager to lead high-volume and professional hiring efforts across our rapidly expanding organization. This role plays a critical part in attracting and retaining top talent—especially lawn care technicians, one of our most essential and high-impact groups of employees.

What You’ll Do
Lead High-Volume & Hourly Recruiting
Manage full-cycle recruitment for lawn care technicians and key hourly roles.
Build scalable, high-volume sourcing strategies to maintain strong candidate pipelines.
Analyze turnover trends and collaborate with operations on retention and workforce planning.
Support hiring for mid-level, administrative, and professional roles.
Coach hiring managers on effective interviewing, selection, and candidate experience.
Drive Pipeline Development & Community Partnerships
Build relationships with trade schools, technical programs, high schools, workforce development groups, military transition programs, and veteran organizations.
Represent Virginia Green at job fairs and community events.
Develop sustained pipelines for seasonal, skilled, and hard-to-fill roles.
Optimize Recruiting Systems & Processes
Oversee the ATS, job boards, CRM, and recruitment marketing tools.
Streamline workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and hiring speed.
Create dashboards, track KPIs, and use metrics to guide decisions—including leveraging AI tools for efficiency.
Develop consistent talk tracks for recruiters to ensure strong and accurate role representation.
Manage Vendor Partnerships
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with job boards, background screening providers, and recruiting technology vendors.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Partner with Hiring Managers
Serve as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders.
Own communication on hiring progress, challenges, and labor market trends.
Track hiring needs by location and help forecast future staffing demands.
Monitor retention trends by branch, recruiter, and candidate source.
Lead & Develop the Recruiting Team
Manage and mentor recruiters or recruiting coordinators.
Build a culture of responsiveness, collaboration, and accountability.
Provide coaching to drive consistent, high-quality hiring practices.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience.
5+ years of recruiting experience, including high-volume and professional-level hiring.
Background in service-oriented, labor-intensive, or skilled-trade industries.
Strong systems experience with ATS and recruiting tools.
Proven experience building community-based talent pipelines.
Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
Excellent communication, relationship building, and project management skills.
Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Recruiting experience in multi-location or field-based environments.
Knowledge of recruitment marketing and digital sourcing strategies.
Experience managing a recruiting team.
Data-driven mindset with ability to build and interpret metrics.
