Description
Job Summary:The Senior Learning and Engagement Consultant is responsible for developing, leading and executing services, programming and sessions related to learning and development, organizational design, change management, leadership, and other employee professional development initiatives. This position is key in supporting TCU leadership, departments, project teams and individual contributors.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Leads the design, development, implementation and refinement of learning and development efforts for all employee stakeholders across campus with specific attention to leadership development initiatives.
2. Partners with campus departments, sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to design, develop, and lead integrated employee Learning and Development strategies (L&D) based on results from needs assessment and organizational priorities.
3. Leads evaluation strategy of topical training sessions, leadership development initiatives, and modifies offerings as appropriate.
4. Scopes, designs and delivers scalable professional development initiatives for both broad and targeted employee audiences to meet strategic business goals related to employee development and retention.
5. Provides coaching and best-practices support to individuals and departments to maximize success of team performance aligned with TCU mission, values and current or most relevant stage of strategic plan.
6. Serves as a Human Resources SME to deliver solutions to improve team performance on topics including but not limited to employee engagement, communication skills, managing conflict, team dynamics, mentoring, collaboration, managing others, building trust, leadership styles, change and transitions, among others.
7. Partners with Success Team and campus-based team of consultants to design blended curriculums for L&D programs that align and keep pace or inspire organizational priorities and competencies.
8. Designs blended curriculums for L&D programs that align, keep pace, inspire and achieve best practices for organizational effectiveness and high performing teams.
9. Collaborates with Employee Success colleagues to assist employees & managers evaluate performance issues and improvement solutions using individual or departmental professional development plans.
10. Collects, analyzes and uses data and survey metrics to drive decisions and results by identifying and executing special projects for learning and development initiatives to meet new, unaddressed and ongoing needs.
11. Stays abreast of advances in learning technologies, tools, and delivery programs and be a champion for continuous learning and performance improvement.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 4 plus years' relevant Talent Development or Learning and Development experience.
• Highly skilled presenter with training and curriculum design experience, including blended/online learning.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Master's degree.
• Experience planning, coordinating and scheduling logistics for multiple and/or simultaneous events.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• None
Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:
• Certified Facilitator of SDI 2.0 or other individual and team assessments.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts in learning and development, talent development, organizational design, employee engagement, program assessment, and leadership.
• Knowledge of Human Resources departmental practices and processes.
• Knowledge of working with a diverse, multi-generational, dynamic workforce.
• Skill in implementing, navigating, and using various software platforms and other technologies.
• Skill in leadership practices and techniques.
• Skill in collecting and interpreting data for decisions.
• Skill in facilitation, training and curriculum design including in-person, blended/on-line learning to diverse audiences at all levels of the higher education organizational structure.
• Skill in project and program management techniques and implementation.
• Skill in writing, developing presentations and presentation techniques; proven success with developing and delivering leadership development programming in an organizational context.
• Ability to design, manage and implement multiple projects simultaneously and to meet identified deadlines.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and University payment processes.
• Ability to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement operational improvements.
• Ability to work successfully as a member of a team serving a common goal.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with employees at all levels.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):
• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
• Work is primarily indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• Work requires traveling across campus and frequent interaction with others.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
