- Senior Specialist, EHS (Fixed term contract - 6 Months)
Description
As a Senior EHS Engineer at our Phoenix, Arizona product development center, you will report to the Site EHS/Sustainability Leader and join an accomplished team comprised of scientists, engineers, and professionals at the forefront of technological innovation. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience in Environmental Health & Safety within manufacturing and/or equipment design environments.
On-site position based at the ASM location currently in Phoenix with a future location in Scottsdale.
Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant local environmental and safety regulations or standards applicable to manufacturing and R&D settings.
Preferred experience in environmental and occupational health and safety within high-tech industries or semiconductor fabrication facilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Knowledge of industrial hygiene methods and standards relevant to the semiconductor industry.
Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic organizations.
Strong influencing skills without direct authority.
Advanced analytical abilities coupled with proven problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated independent critical thinking and a proactive approach to learning and guidance.
Adaptability to evolving environments and strategies.
Professional certifications preferred, such as Associate or Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Ability to work in cleanroom environments around semiconductor equipment, including process modules, hazardous gas/chemical systems, and supporting infrastructure; must be capable of conducting audits and inspections in physically demanding cleanroom settings.
