Your Role as a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Specialist in one of our Specialty Departments
We are building our specialty teams and are seeking experienced, motivated Registered Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Technician Specialists for upcoming opportunities within Oncology and Cardiology. These roles are department specific positions, and technicians will be hired into the specialty that best aligns with their skills, interests, and experience.
As a Specialty RVT or VTS at our hospital, you’ll work closely with board-certified specialists and experienced clinicians in a patient focused environment. Each specialty offers the opportunity to develop advanced technical skills, participate in thoughtful case management, and play a meaningful role in long term patient care and client education.
Whether your strengths lie in managing complex medical cases, supporting cardiac patients, or providing compassionate oncology care, we value technicians who are detail-oriented, communicative, and committed to high standards of patient advocacy.
Requirements
Required: Current RVT License and Registration with DORA.
Preferred: VTS in cardiology or oncology
Preferred: College (AS/BS/BA).
Preferred: Minimum of 3 years' experience as an RVT, preferably in cardiology or oncology.
Preferred: BLS/ALS CPR certifications.
Schedule
Typical schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role is physically active and fast-paced. You’ll need to:
Lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Kneel, stoop, crouch, and be on your feet for long periods
Operate medical and office equipment
Work around biological hazards and cleaning agents
Communicate clearly in noisy environments
