Two Impact-Driven Staff Attorney Opportunities
Albany Law School is seeking mission-driven attorneys to join the newly launched Housing Justice Clinic (HJC) at The Edward P. Swyer Justice Center and the Government Law Center (GLC).
We are hiring for two full-time Staff Attorney roles. Depending on experience, candidates may be appointed as Associate Staff Attorney, Staff Attorney, or Senior Staff Attorney.
Housing Justice Clinic, The Edward P. Swyer Justice Center
Be part of a groundbreaking clinic serving tenants facing eviction in Albany City Court and, as the program expands, across the Capital Region. The HJC will offer direct representation in eviction matters, administrative advocacy, and community-driven outreach. Staff Attorneys will help shape this new clinic from the ground up, working closely with students committed to housing justice.
Government Law Center
Join a respected think tank that delivers nonpartisan legal and policy analysis to state and local governments while preparing the next generation of public-sector leaders. GLC Staff Attorneys engage in legal research and writing, program development, and mentorship of law students pursuing careers in public service.
Requirements
- JD from an ABA approved law school
- Admission to the NYS Bar

The estimated salary range is $75,000-$95,000 per year. The salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity.
We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, employer paid disability and life insurance coverage, 5% retirement contribution, CDTA bus pass, and generous time off.
