Employment Type: 2026 Summer season- Full-Time
Job Summary
At Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp, we seek to hire kind, caring, and fun people who want to work with children. The Waterfront Director oversees the safety and organization of our Waterfront, is responsible for scheduling and leading a team of staff while following industry safety standards. Our Waterfront DIrector assists in training staff in team building, activity planning, emergency protocol, and lifeguard certification. This position is perfect for a professional who loves working with children and thrives in an engaging, community-centered environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Competitive
Travel Assistance: Travel expenses covered
Contract duration: June 6 - August 20 (full season) (option to add-on September)
Benefits Package: We provide a travel allowance, room and board, and full access to all camp facilities during your off hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Risk Management: Implement and Maintain strict safety protocol for all waterfront programs according to our policies and industry standards; including recognizing hazards, enforcing rules, training staff, managing emergencies, and ensuring supervision.
- Leadership: Training, supervising, and motivating lifeguard/WSI teams, including assisting/leading lifeguard training and waterfront module, emergency action plan training and ongoing in-service training. Schedule check-ins with the team, offering guidance, support, and feedback
- Program Management: Oversee daily operations of the waterfront programs for campers, including instructional swim; implement safe and engaging activities that are age-appropriate; supervise counselors in their program area; maintain a clean and safe environment
- Administrative: Organizing, communicating, managing program waterfront offerings in collaboration with the program director and department heads; serve as a member of our program team and work collaboratively with their peers to ensure the success of all program areas; ensure program area has required program equipment/supplies ordered as needed and that equipment/supplies are maintained properly; communicate equipment/supplies that need to be ordered in a timely manner, and program evaluation
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to relate to all ages; make lifelong memories and friendships with people from all over the world!
Requirements
Position qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prior supervisory experience (not necessarily at a waterfront)
- Must have prior experience as a lifeguard and experience working with children
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or equivalent
- CPR/AED For The Professional Rescuer
- First Aid certification
- Water Safety Instructor Certificate from the American Red Cross or an organization with equivalent standards (or willingness to obtain).
- Must successfully clear FBI and state criminal background checks
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time; ability to lift up to 40lbs; ability to push, pull, bend and kneel regularly
- Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather
