Advanced Practice Practitioner (PA/NP) - Psychiatry
Description
Family Psychiatry Practice & Associates (FPPA)
About Us
Family Psychiatry Practice & Associates (FPPA) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing team. In this role, the APP will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management to a diverse patient population. This position offers a high level of clinical autonomy, complemented by meaningful collaboration and support within a multidisciplinary team.
FPPA is a small locally owned, patient-centered psychiatric practice dedicated to delivering high-quality care to children, adolescents, and adults. We prioritize individualized treatment, clinical autonomy, and a collaborative team environment. As a fee-for-service clinic with a strong and consistent patient volume, we do not participate directly with private or government insurance programs. This structure allows our clinicians to focus on what is best for each patient fostering more meaningful therapeutic relationships and often improved clinical outcomes.
Our clinical team is led by our Medical Director, Dr. Tian Duke-Sui, MD, a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, and includes a Physician Assistant, John Kwon, PA-C who provides care to children, adolescents, and adults; a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Lee Davis LCMHC-CRC, who specializes in delivering therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults; a Psychology Intern, Daniel Montenegro, who conducts in-house ASD, psychoeducational evaluations, play therapy and more; a Registered Nurse, Alissa Duke-Sui RN, with specialized experience in both critical care and psychiatry; as well as two full-time and two part-time Medical Coordinators who support the overall function and efficiency of the practice.
We believe that well-supported, well-informed, and fulfilled clinicians and staff are essential to creating a truly therapeutic environment for our patients. This commitment is reflected in our emphasis on ethical and equitable treatment of all employees, as well as our dedication to fostering a sustainable and supportive work-life balance.
Our practice values a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to treatment and incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered approaches. While prior experience with these modalities is preferred, it is not required. We place a strong emphasis on curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn, and we are committed to supporting ongoing training and professional development to help clinicians build confidence and competence in these approaches.
We also recognize that exceptional patient care is best supported by a strong and reliable infrastructure. Our practice places a high value on providing extensive administrative and front desk support to minimize non-clinical burdens, enabling providers to remain focused on patient care. With a stable and experienced administrative team (reflected in our low front desk turnover) we are able to offer consistent, knowledgeable support that benefits providers, patients, and the overall efficiency of the practice. This intentional structure enhances both the patient experience and overall satisfaction.
