Join a 10-week summer research experience that examines the interactions between physical, natural, and social processes by weaving Indigenous knowledge with Western science to advance understanding and support tribal land and water management. Students work in community-based, interdisciplinary research teams at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities, the Fond du Lac Reservation, and Salish Kootenai College.
What you’ll receive:
$7,000 stipend
Housing, transportation, and some food costs covered
Up to $1,000 to present your research at a professional conference

Requirements
You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to apply for this program. The program is open to undergraduate students majoring in civil engineering, geosciences, ecology, mathematics, or related fields.
