Serve as a system administrator and subject-matter expert for financial aid systems (e.g., Banner, Banner Self-Service, Campus Logic). Test and implement system upgrades, regulatory upgrades, and new functionalities. Serve as a member of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships leadership team. Responsible for interpreting financial aid data and responding to data requests and data reporting. Lead, plan, test, and implement optimization of financial aid systems, ensuring data integrity, developing a system to support strategic decision-making. Create and maintain documentation to support systems and data reporting. The position plays a critical role in advancing operational efficiency, data reporting, compliance, and the student experience within financial aid systems through the use of technology.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial aid systems administration, or higher education technology. Knowledge of Title IV regulations and financial aid processes. Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner, relational databases, advanced MS Office functions, SQL, report writing software, PC hardware and software, and data quality maintenance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Experience with higher education data reporting. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills including report writing. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
