Empax Centre is a leading multidisciplinary mental health service specialising in the delivery of evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) across Australia. Our clinical programs combine psychiatric expertise, structured psychotherapy, and robust safety protocols to support clients with complex and treatment-resistant conditions.

Company History

Empax Centre was established in response to the growing need for new, evidence-based approaches to mental health care, particularly for individuals who have not achieved adequate relief through conventional treatments. Formed through the merger of Pax Centre and Emyria Ltd. Empax Centre brings together two organisations with complementary strengths in mental health care and innovative treatment delivery.

Empax Centre has partnered with Medibank Private to fund access for eligible clients to our PAT programs for Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – marking the first expansion of insurer-funded services in Western Australia and Brisbane and combining insurer support with psychiatrist-led hospital and community care. DVA has become the second major institutional funder, further strengthening this new model of specialist mental-health care. With established programs, expert clinicians, regulatory expertise, and a growing national network of purpose-built clinical infrastructure, Empax Centres are uniquely positioned to support these reimbursement pathways.
