The Department of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cognitive or Behavioral Neurologist to join the Division of Cognitive Neurology as a full-time academic faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Led by Hilary Grosso-Jasutkar, MD, PhD, a Columbia-trained, NIH-funded clinician-scientist, the Division is building a comprehensive, research-driven neurocognitive program with a longer-term goal of becoming an Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The Department is anchored at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a tertiary and quaternary referral center and the principal teaching hospital of RWJMS.
Position Highlights
- Full-time academic faculty appointment at Rutgers RWJMS at the Assistant or Associate Professor level; rank and track commensurate with experience
- Outpatient-focused subspecialty practice evaluating and managing Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal and Lewy body dementias, and other cognitive and behavioral neurological disorders
- Participation in the Division’s Alzheimer’s disease infusion therapy program
- Multidisciplinary team of cognitive neurology, geriatrics, and neuropsychology, with close partnerships in genetic counseling, speech therapy, rehabilitation, and community-based dementia services
- Opportunities in clinical research and industry-sponsored clinical trials, with connections to the Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center and the Department’s translational research programs
- Teach and mentor neurology residents, advanced practice providers, medical students, and visiting trainees
- Participate in the inpatient general neurology consultation service at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
- Participate in Neurology Grand Rounds and departmental academic conferences
- Shared evening and weekend call schedule for inpatient general neurology service.

Candidate Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology, Cognitive Neurology, Neuropsychiatry, or a related subspecialty preferred
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Strong commitment to outpatient clinical care, teaching, and academic medicine
Salary range and benefits
- Salary range of $270,000 to $330,000 per year. Competitive compensation aligned with AAMC standards, commensurate with rank and experience.
