The Department of Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking several full-time outpatient and Inpatient faculty positions to join our expanding academic and clinical services
Ambulatory Service Positions

1)Director of Adult Outpatient Service: Full time position with Clinical and Administrative duties. Work closely with the Vice Chair of ambulatory service and rest of the ambulatory leadership team to provide clinical and administrative leadership for a high-volume, multidisciplinary adult outpatient service.
- Requirements: MD or DO degree from an ACGME accredited institution. Board Certified in Psychiatry. Minimum 5–7 years of post-residency clinical experience. Active or eligible for New York State medical license. Prior leadership experience with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive operational and clinical improvements is preferred.
2)Spanish-Speaking Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist – Geriatric Focus: Full-time clinical outpatient position. Hybrid model possibility with up to 3 days per week work-from-home (Telepsychiatry).
- Requirements: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Fellowship training or strong clinical experience in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred. Bilingual: English and Spanish to support our diverse patient population. Strong commitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care. Active or eligible for New York State medical license.
3)Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatrist: Full-time clinical outpatient position. Hybrid model possibility with up to 3 days per week work-from-home (Telepsychiatry).
- Requirements: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Fellowship training Child/adolescent psychiatry. Bilingual: in Spanish is a plus, to support our diverse patient population. Active or eligible for New York State medical license.
Acute Care Service Positions

1)Inpatient Unit Director: Manages one of the two inpatient units at Maimonides (total of 70 beds, covered by 7 full time attending psychiatrists). Work closely with the Vice Chair of Acute Care and other Inpatient Unit Director to manage administrative issues on the unit. Each team on the unit has their own social worker and LCAT. There is a full-time medical internist that manages all medical problems on the unit.
- Requirements: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Active or eligible for New York State medical license. Prior leadership experience with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
2)Inpatient Psychiatrist: Manages an inpatient team on the unit, working with Maimonides residents who carry a caseload of up to 8 inpatients. Each team on the unit has their own social worker and LCAT. There is a full-time medical internist that manages all medical problems on the unit.
- Requirements: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Active or eligible for New York State medical license.
3)Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist: Provides inpatient psychiatric consultations across medical and surgical services in the hospital. Teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students.
- Requirements: MD or DO with board certification in Psychiatry. Fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison. Active or eligible for New York State medical license. Experience or interest in perinatal psychiatry preferred but not required.
