St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking a full-time Inpatient-Geriatric Psychiatrist with training or strong interest in Geriatric Psychiatry for an inpatient role at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. Samaritan Hospital offers a comprehensive behavioral health program featuring 63 inpatient beds across three specialized units, including a dedicated 20-bed Gero-Psychiatry unit. Our interdisciplinary team delivers compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses the complex medical, psychiatric, and social needs of older adults.
Position Details:
Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients on a 20-bed Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
Supported by a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker with specialized geriatric-psychiatry training
Join a highly supportive team of therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners
Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred but not required
Experience working in an inpatient behavioral health setting preferred
DEA licensure and New York State medical license (or eligibility) required
Excellent clinical skills, strong communication skills, and commitment to team-based care

Recruitment Package: St. Peter’s Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:
Compensation is between $318,449 and $354,957 commensurate with experience with the ability to earn more through a generous quality incentive
The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.

Starting Bonus of $35,000
Retention Bonus of $15,000 at the beginning of year 2
Retention Bonus of $15,000 at the beginning of year 3

Requirements
Requirements: Applicants should have the following:
MD or DO;
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry;
Experience treating an adult psychiatric patient population;
Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Liaison preferred;
Experience in an inpatient setting or ED/crisis is also preferred;
DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required;
