RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a Tele-nocturnist psychiatrist to support its PESS/crisis units and inpatient psychiatric units throughout the system. This position allows for a great work life balance as it is completely remote. The basis of this position will be to respond to evaluations and requests from several of the RWJBarnabas Health facilities.
More about the role:
Physicians provide psychiatric services from a remote location via computer/phone on patients at RWJBH locations. The RWJBH Transfer Center will manage and triage communications with the physician. Coverage of the following shifts: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (2 days per week, as assigned).
Example services provided include:
o Voluntary admission with or without telepsych, to include admission orders.
o Involuntary admission with telepsych to include commitment paperwork.
o Phone discussions and discharges with PESS sites.
o Phone recommendations for intervention for inpatient or PESS patients.
o Manage/start medications including PRN’s, standing, and home medications.
o Shifts from 4 pm – 12 am
o 100% remote per-diem shifts
o Nights only- $165/hour
Requirements:
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure
- BC/BE in Board-certified in Geriatric or Adult Psychiatry
