New Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist Opportunity in Desirable Community of Saratoga Springs, NY
Saratoga Hospital Medical Group seeks a BC/BE Psychiatrist fellowship-trained, or with equivalent experience or training in Psychosomatic Medicine for our Consultation Liaison role at Saratoga Hospital.
Work as the lead psychiatrist for a consultation service of a 171-bed community hospital with significant recent construction and renovations including a 19-bed state-of-the-art ICCU, 12-bed Labor and Delivery, medical surgical units, and more. Current team consists of a full-time LCSW and half time psychiatrist. The hospital would like to expand mental health treatment for substance use disorders, delirium, CHF/MI/COPD admitted patients. Enjoy a close, collaborative working relationship with nursing staff, hospitalists, specialists and palliative care service.
This is an opportunity to work with a close-knit, experienced, multi-disciplinary care team on a 16-bed adult inpatient unit and with emergency department and hospital staff for the consultation liaison service.
All physicians take inpatient call for a 16-bed inpatient adult mental health unit. Call is paid and approximately 1:10, taken evenings by phone with rounding on weekends.
Psychiatrists are part of a collegial team that includes hospital psychiatrists, and outpatient psychiatrists at the Saratoga Community Health Center and Saratoga County Mental Health. Psychiatrists work closely across the system with physicians and advanced practitioners in our primary care and specialty network as part of Saratoga Hospital Medical Group.
